We always look forward to visits from Osvaldo Chacon and
his group. The band have an exciting rawness that isn't compromised
by their undoubted technical skills. But just as important is Osvaldo's
personality. Some people know how to 'do' happy on stage, whilst others
are just born happy, and Osvaldo's one of the latter, his relentlessly
infectious laughter and encouragement to the audience to shed their
Anglo-Saxon inhibitions always transforming a polite Sunday evening's
entertainment into dancing-on-the-tables madness. Thanks to such a
great audience, too - you all came a little late, but better late
than never... Try and arrive earlier - we get lonely between 6.30
and 8!
