This elegant venue was shaken to the foundations as the 18 drummers of the Brazilian bateria, BATUQUE pra VALER stomped into the ballroom, making their presence firmly felt. The evening dresses and dicky-bows at this prestigious fund-raiser let their hair down as they succumbed to the compulsive rhythms.

The SO SAMBA floor show, led by established dancer/choreographer, Edmilson de Souza, and his exceptionally talented troupe of 8 sequinned and feathered dancers, enthralled the guests, leaving them open-mouthed.

After a sumptuous dinner and a very successful evening raising money for worthy causes, the elegant guests took to the dance floor again to the popular Brazilian sounds of the 6 piece – SOMBRASIL, led by vocalist/percussionist of distinction, Xavier Osmir.

It was a great night on all fronts.
